Gin Ichimaru's Zanpakuto

Today I'll be talking 'bout Gin's Zanpakuto.

Shinsou
God Spear/Sacred Spear

It looks like an ordinary wakizashi. The hilt is light-blue with a tsuba made of two slim swirls of metal looping around the blade to make an open oval, resembling an "S".

Shikai : It is triggered by the phrase "Shoot to kill"(Ikorose).

Shinsō's blade glows white and extends at high speed to impale Gin's opponents from a distance. The blade also carries tremendous force when extending, as seen when Gin pushes both Ichigo Kurosaki and the giant Jidanbō out from under the Seireitei gate, despite the latter being firmly braced under it. Gin can maintain the extension and swing the activated Shinsō in wide arcs, attacking multiple targets quickly and simultaneously.

Kamishini no Yari

Gin's Zanpakutō does not change in appearance at all, retaining its small wakizashi form. However, as Kamishini no Yari, the blade is capable of reaching lengths equivalent to 13 kilometers at 500 times the speed of sound. The blade can also retract to its normal size at the same rate.

Kamishini no Yari's true ability as well as its deadliest aspect is not based on its length or speed but rather its ability to turn into dust for just a second when it expands out and contracts. There is a deadly poison inside the blade that dissolves and breaks down cells. He can leave a sliver of his Zanpakuto in an opponent when he retracts Kamishini no Yari, allowing him to kill an opponent at any time when he chooses to by uttering the release command "Kill, Kamishini no Yari" (殺せ, 神殺鎗, Korose, Kamishini no Yari) for the technique, while placing his hand up to the target. The result causes the target to completely break down and dissolve at the cellular level from the inside out.

Butō

He firmly grips Kamishini no Yari with both hands and places the Zanpakutō's hilt squarely to the center of his chest, Gin is able to unleash the tremendous extension and contraction properties of his Bankai to an even more terrifying extent than its normal state. This occurs in the form of a piercing maneuver where the extension and contraction of the blade becomes almost completely-unseen to even the most-diligent of observers.

Butō : Renjin

Dance (Step) Serial Blade

This ability repeats the action of extending and subsequently contracting Kamishini no Yari, as observed within the technique Butō, multiple times in rapid succession. The entirety of this process is completed in a mere moment, resulting in the individual steps involved in this technique becoming virtually indistinguishable from each other, generating an apparent mass of numerous blades that leaves little opportunity for the intended victim to evade successfully.

Why is the story called "Bleach"?

In an interview in Shonen Jump Magazine, Tite Kubo revealed the reasoning behind Bleach's title:

The title wasn't Bleach when Tite Kubo decided to draw a story about Shinigami. This was before he drew the one-shot manga that appeared in Akamaru Jump. The weapon wasn't a sword, but a scythe. Only Rukia had a scythe and the other characters used guns. At that point, the title was Snipe (as in "Sniper"). Right before he started drawing, he began to think that a sword would be better and realized he couldn't use Snipe as a title anymore. He began looking for a title that grasped the bigger picture. Shinigami are associated with the color black, but it would have been boring to use "black". "White", on the other hand, can suggest black as a complementary color. So Tite Kubo chose "Bleach" to evoke the impression of the color white.

When will Hell Chapter come out?

Bleach: Hell Chapter is not out yet in English.

English Sub: Bleach: Hell Chapter will be released on DVD the 23rd of August. Once it is released on DVD, the subbers can then start subbing the movie which will take some time due to it's length. SGK fan subs, one of the alternative Bleach subbers to Crunchyroll, has announced that they will be subbing Hell Chapter. No release date has been announced by them though. Expect something around the end of August to maybe early September.

English Dub: The dub will take much longer. The average time between release of the movie and release of the dub has been around 2 years. 2013 is around when the dub will see release.

What happens to a plus after they are eaten by a hollow?

The soul is destroyed.

Is kensei muguruma still alive?

Kensei's status is unknown. He has not been seen or mentioned since releasing his Bankai against Wonderweiss, who later left that fight.

If Tier Harribel is confirmed to be alive why hasn't her status been changed from "Deceased" on the Espada page? (Wow, My favorite Character's alive!)

It will be changed when we review the translation.

If Hollow Ichigo and Zangetsu are the same being, how are they able to seperately manifest when Hollow Ichigo stated that whichever half is dominant is the only one that appears in Ichigo's inner world?
