Just like as Aizen said, Ichigo has no hatred against him that's why his blade cannot reach him. He planned every fight that Ichigo had and the powers he gained. It is still unknown if he is just bluffing or it is true.

His mother is Masaki Kurosaki who was the heart of the entire family as described by him in the English Dub. She was Ichigo's main female influence during his childhood. As Tatsuki Arisawa stated to Orihime, whenever he saw his mother, regardless of what his current condition is, even if he was crying, his usual happy, smiling persona would immediately return, as if nothing ever happened to him. Masaki's death changed Ichigo's personality a lot.
Ichigo's father is Isshin Kurosaki who was a former Shinigami. It is very clear that they love each other like most fathers and sons do, but Isshin tends to "train" Ichigo by physically assaulting him, usually when he's asleep, prompting a frustrated Ichigo to retaliate rather violently. Even so, Isshin deeply cares about Ichigo.
Ichigo is also protective to his sisters, Yuzu and Karin. He agreed to be a Shinigami in order to protect them and his family.
Ichigo resembles Kaien in looks and personality.
Ichigo claims that his name comes from: ichi for first prize and go for guardian angel, although his father told him that his name means "he who protects".
